Sudarshan Chemical Commissions Cogen Power Plant at Roha Site
Maharashtra, India: Sudarshan Chemical Industries Ltd has announced that it has commissioned the cogeneration plant of 8.24 MW at its Roha site in Maharashtra. It will make the company self-reliant towards power & steam generation and for forthcoming expansion of production lines.

"The company will be able to produce its own electricity and meet the prerequisite of the entire site," supposed Sudarshan Chemical.

The plant, which is the largest cogeneration plant in Konkan industrial belt of Maharashtra, will make the company more competitive by decreasing the electricity generation cost by 50 percent.

Products manufactured by the company, which is one of the prominent producers of colour & effect pigments in India, predominantly caters to the coatings, plastics, inks and cosmetics markets.

Sudarshan Chemical in September, 2016 contracted a memorandum of understanding with Maharashtra government for investing 1,000 crore in the subsequent five years.
