Ester Industries to invest 50 Crores in new R&D Centre in Gurgaon
Gurgaon, India: Ester Industries Ltd has announced that it will set up a research & developments (R&D) centre in Gurgaon with an investment of 50 crores.

The company also informed that it has filed a new patent application under PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) for masterbatch to produce speciality polyester yarn. Till now, Ester Industries has filed patents for 9 products in speciality polymer business.

While the company is headquar tered in Gurgaon, it has a manufacturing facility at Khatima (Uttarakhand). It has manufacturing capacity of 57,000 metric ton per annum (MTPA) for polyester films and 13,200 MTPA for metallised polyester films. Besides, it has polyethylene terephthalate (polyester) chips manufacturing capacity of 70,000 MTPA. Polyester films find applications predominantly in flexible packaging. Ester Industries markets its engineering plastics under the brand name Estoplast and production capacity of 16,500 MTP A.
