Coyotex to Showcase its Pioneering Technology for the Production of Multiaxial Carbon Fiber Preforms
Überlingen, Germany:Coyotex is revolutionizing the production of carbon fiber composites: Thanks to this newly developed production process, the company's customers can reduce their expenses by up to 40 percent. Coyotex can manufacture multiaxial preforms with significantly higher lightweight potential on an industrial scale. Ordering the products is completely digitalized, and production takes place on demand. The first-ever public presentation of this technology will be held at the JEC composites trade show in Paris (March 6-8). Coyotex has also been nominated in Paris for the Startup Booster award, which recognizes inno vative solutions in the composites field.

"Our new technology will fundamentally change the production of carbon fiber composites," says Rainer Kehrle, Managing Director of kejora GmbH, which owns the Coyotex brand. Although the company's idea isn't new in itself, the results definitely are: Until now, producing non-crimp fabrics (NCFs) in near net shape has involved high production and equipment costs as well as modest output. In contrast, fast production processes come at the expense of lightweight potential and lead to significantly higher costs further on in the process chain.
